iPhone X receives FCC approval ahead of November 3 launch

iPhone X receives FCC approval ahead of November 3 launch
October 04 21:24 2017

As we first reported, iPhone X had not been authorized by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) when Apple unveiled its new flagship last month.

However, the FCC-related fine print at the bottom of the iPhone X webpage has been removed now, meaning the handset has received the necessary approval ahead of its arrival.

The Cupertino company plans to start taking pre-orders for iPhone X on October 27 with a starting price of $999. The device is scheduled to land on store shelves on November 3.

All wireless devices sold in the United States must obtain an authorization from the FCC to ensure they meet human RF exposure limits and don’t cause harmful interference.
